Unfortunately, my method isn't very eloquent since Reaper doesn't support AAF or OMF natively, and for me it doesn't seem worth it to purchase a third party product like AATranslator. There are also free scripts users have made, but I'm not sure how good they are.
Here's how I've done it:
1) Edit the video first and leave extra space for the audio so it can be edited in Reaper.
2) Render each audio track and the video track out of Resolve.
3) Import all of the audio files and video file into Reaper. Reaper has video support, so you can load the video in and edit the audio to the video.
4) Render the final mix of the audio out of Reaper.
5) Import the mixed audio into Resolve, resave the project with "Final" and delete all the old audio tracks so there is only the final audio mix, and finally render the video out of Resolve with the mixed audio.
I'm sure this would be much faster with AAF or OMF since the edits would automatically open up in Reaper. So if you do this for a living, it might be worth it to invest in AATranslator which I've seen a lot of Reaper users talking about. But my method works fine for me and I still prefer this to using Fairlight for anything other than very basic audio edits and effects.
