Mute, Solo & Video Disable from Deliver Page

PostFri Apr 17, 2020 1:26 am

Hi,
Could we please have the audio tracks Mute & Solo and the Video Track Enable / Disable functions operational in the deliver screen?

I often find myself wanting to export different versions of a sequence but I have to go back to the Fairlight or Edit screen to be able to change the Mute / Solo / Enable state of the tracks.

If the current lack of control from the Deliver Screen is there as a safety then please allow changes in conjunction with a modifier key.

Thanks!

Why Deliver Page has many features disabled? I also find myself jumping from Deliver to Edit all the time for those disabled features (Stacked timelines)

It will be better to have a Render Panel in the Edit/Fairlight Page, or an editable timeline+Mixer in Render Page. This is nothing crazy, as Cut Page has Render integrated.

I mean, an unification of the GUI pages through Workspace Panels.
But then it will too close to Premiere. Perhaps there is a battle opened to see who marks the difference.
Anyway I will prefer Premiere feature of their customizable Workspaces.
This preference is because I got tired of switching from Pages

+1 had this problem just the other day. Especially an issue if you're working with Sound Designers and they need individual trax

I vote no. Once you reach Deliver, changes should be locked out.

You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

This has been a persistent annoyance since day 1. Going back and forth between pages, for every new variation, is error prone and time-consuming.

Of course, those who don't routinely generate multiple alternate versions will have no use for this feature. For everyone else, "should" is what works best, not "should" because that's how it works now.

Mute, solo and disable do not alter content and are all reversible. Those features should be available everywhere.

My idea would be to have a select-able video track selection on delivery page.
it be a video > all layers or custom > select your vid layers.

Also I'm not sure why we have timeline on delivery page taking so much space where you can't select tracks and such.

BTW in delivery page you can make changes that are not present in timeline page.

I wouldn't mind it if the default setting is locked to the timeline. So those of us who don't use it won't turn off anything by accident.

That's the thing for me, there's already too many variables to take into account in the deliver page. And I don't want more options that I could get wrong.

And the fact that Resolve doesn't give you any detail view of what's being rendered or the ability to navigate to re-check the output settings (this has been a feature request), has made me cancel tons of ongoing renders just because I wasn't sure I checked the right boxes.
