Big +1 for this
It happens to me all the time.
And many times I end up with a separate "IMSC1" file
I’d also like to add something to your feature request: it would be great if the "Subtitles Settings" panel stayed fully open when working on a timeline with a subtitles track.
One more thing, most people probably want to export their subtitles if they have a subtitles track, so maybe the "Export Subtitles" option could be checked by default? Just an idea. At the very least, having the whole Subtitles Settings panel visible without needing to keep clicking to open it would be super helpful.
(note that I never use presets because I constantly export different type of videos with different settings, and using presets, in my cases, doesn't speed up my workflow)
