Still does not have choice Pre/post group data - gallery

If a still belong to a group, upon reveal the node tree window, we should be able to switch from PRE/clip/POST/Timeline.

Currently i can only bounce between clip and timeline.

That force me to recall all the groups in a timeline an save individual PRE/POST clips.

Unless I don't understand the question, I think the Timeline button on the big panels toggles between Clip / Pre / Post / Timeline.

Grab a still in the gallery while looking at the color node tree (clip), now [reveal node tree]

You only see the clip and timeline mode tree, the pre/post node tree is missing

Oh, you mean in the GALLERY or with the Displey Node Graph function. Got it. Clearly the color database has that information, but I dunno if they could tie it to the stills. You're basically asking: "can I see the Pre-Clip Group and Post-Clip Group for each still?"

I guess when you display the selected node graph, you only see it on the Clip level. That's an interesting problem. I could see them putting 4 white buttons up top for Clip / Pre / Post / Timeline Grade.

yes that is the idea.

This feature would be great but could also lead to accidental overwriting of pre and post group grades if there have been changes since the still was captured. This would need some thought to make sure there are no other hidden "gotchas" with this approach.

Like now, only if you select timeline you copy the timeline data, will be the same

Hi Walter, if you grab the still while being on the post-clip window, the still will save (only) all the post-clip adjustments. Same with the pre-clip.

I do this for each group, so I have a still that let's me replicate the group settings,

I'm aware of that, thanks, but it should be simpler than that.

While it might make for messier Gallery bins, I would like to see an option that automatically grabs stills of Pre/Post clip grades when you're grabbing a Gallery still for a clip. That way, you dont have to remember to switch to the Pre/Post nodes before grabbing the still for those nodes.

I like to periodically grab stills for ALL shots in the timeline, with the "One Still Per Scene" option enabled, just as a safety net in case I want to refer to previous versions, and more importantly because Resolve does not support Version'ed clip groups (and according to Peter, Resolve won't ever support it in the foreseeable future). But sometimes I forget to grab the Pre/Post Group grades when I do this.

It would be great to be able for there to be a "Grab Stills w/Group grades" option, which will grab the Clip grade, Pre-clip grade and Post-clip grade in a single operation.
