DVR 19 Sound Library mixing up audio files

PostMon Apr 28, 2025 4:45 pm

Hi. I've come across with a bug with Sound Library in Davinci Resolve 19.1.4.
I normally add different new sounds to the main folder I have all my sounds in once in a while, then go to DVR Sound library 3-dots menu, hit Add Library and DVR prompts me if it's ok to rescan.
The feature rescans the folder and for an unknown reason adds duplicates of the previously added files.
Here there are 2 groups of same files thus arisen that do not interrupt the playback when I switch to the following track:

I checked the files - I don't have any duplicates in the folder I'd added to the sound library:

I know there's a workaround to fix it by removing the sound library database, but a dedicated menu item to be able to proper rescan or completely delete a database is necessary.

Bugs should be reported to the regular forums.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Hi, Jim, wasn't sure if it was really a bug. Can someone move this topic there?
