C-mode sort by reel, then source timecode

PostTue May 20, 2025 5:46 pm

Currently it seems that C-mode sort will sort by source timecodes only, which a lot of time gives the desired results - but sometimes I get reels mixed up, I assume because they have similar source timecodes. I'd like it to sort by reel, then source timecode.

I always assumed it was supposed work by source tape first (as you'd want in a linear tape suite) and this was a 'bug'. I guess if you actually prefer the current behaviour, maybe it would need a preference setting?

About 13 years ago, Rohit said they were hoping to have it fixed in 'the next update'.
