User-Friendly Diagnostics Tool tells why nodes go red

PostThu Jun 12, 2025 2:58 am

As background, when there is an error in a Fusion node structure, the problematic nodes turn red.

I understand there is the Console ( /Workspace/Console ) that gives a summary which can be used to identify the problem nodes.

But the Console, as I understand it, includes downstream-consequential problems that are not the root cause of the problem. Hence, the Console doesn't pinpoint the root cause.

Suggestion: a user friendly version of the Console that (gulp) uses A.I. to explain, in simple terms, what is wrong with the Fusion composition, and pinpoints which node(s) are the problem.

I also suggest this user-friendly A.I. helper be called something different to Console, since the word "Console" does not intuitively tell a new user that it is here that diagnostics information is available. Besides, placing "Console" in the Workspace menu doesn't tell the user that this is where to find Fusion diagnostics information.

By the way, the problem that triggered this suggestion is when I opened a previous Project that used a font that wasn't installed in the current computer. If I hadn't been aware of this issue beforehand, and if I hadn't been aware of the Console, I don't know how I would have went about trying to figure out what was wrong.
