CST menu favorites option

PostMon Jun 23, 2025 3:02 pm

Would be great to have your top go to(favorites) CST transforms starred on top of the scroll list. Yes a powergrade and node can be created as shortcut but that feature would also be great.

In a way, you can do this if you save just the CST node as a PowerGrade in the Gallery. I have at least 9 or 10 CST nodes set up for specific situations or specific cameras, so when I need it, I just drag that node out, place it where I need it in the node tree, and immediately start to work.

This is a Camera CST gallery I was using last year -- I have more than this, but this will at least give you an idea of the setup.

I've previously done this with Paste Attributes and Adjustment Clips when applying CSTs on the Edit page. It'd be nice to have these as per-library favorites - either specific to CSTs or for other OFX plugins.

I get the logos off the web and build it as a graphic. There's only one node in the PowerGrade, so it's just a question of dragging that over and getting it into the Node tree.

I was applying the Grade to the image but it caused my thumbnails to not be consistent.

They can do better, like in fusion you can save preset for every node, could be interesting to have preset dropdown menu for every OFX.
If you need a combo node effects, you have still gallery, if you need a preset of OFX you can save and re apply from inspector drop-down menu options.
That mean you can have in color or in edit page.
Don’t forget the ability load/save presets to exchange with other people

1) +1 on preset
2) make some sort of folder: bring all the Sony in one folder, ask the display in one folder, ask the blackmagic in one folder and so on

It works for me. I just create a new version, delete every node that I don't need, keep the one node I do need, then build the graphic. When I need this grade, I just drag it from the PowerGrades bin and drop it on top of the node I want to change -- I don't center-mouse click to change the entire grade.

There are some PowerGrades I use where I do use the entire node tree, but setting up a CST for Input or Output is not one of them.

I think I am doing something different. You can drag the graphic directly to the Node Tree?
