sorry Jim, i not understand the suggest.
i need to have access to full resolution of clip when i apply an OFX of transform and not to a timeline resolution of clip.
preset is useful for other kind of work, but here not speed up my work, i not want to modify directly the clip, i would like to put over an adjustment layer instead of cut every single piece of clip to zoom in and out.
I'll give an example to make the usefulness clearer.
imagine you have a theatrical performance whose delivery is in fullHD and you shoot in 8k.
By adding three to four adjustment clips with different colors on them, with different placements and zooms, I can :
- “edit” totals from a series of close-up shots, without having to cut the clip each time to zoom in on just one part
- instead of doing copy and paste of parameters, I just drag with alt/option pressed and bring the zoom I need to where I want it.
- If I want it to last longer or shorter, I just move it shorten and lengthen the adjustment clip.
I've been doing this for years on premiere and I thought I could do it nimbly on resolve as well, but I've found that it's just not the case.
compared to cutting, changing parameters there's a lot less operations, a lot of time saved, and on shows of 50-80 minutes they become days of work saved.
