Fullscreen timeline

PostFri May 01, 2020 1:15 am

Hi,

Please add the ability to make the timeline Fullscreen, meaning that you don't see nothing else on the interface but the timeline.

This will allow you to have a much bigger workspace for your edits.

Thanks.

You only get that option if you are using two screens.

+1

Love this feature in Vegas, when I have a huge timeline.
Just hit F11 (I think it was?) and get a good overview of what's going on.

+1. Another minor feature yet really helpful. Especially coming from Adobe Premiere and not being able to switch quickly into fullscreen timeline view is something you need to get used to. However I'm still not used to it after editing in Davinci for a year now.

This will be possible if the GUI has an option to get rid off so many toolbars that waste a lot of real state when are not used (keyboard shortcut edition instead of mouse)

On the Main GUI:
- There are 3 horizontal bars which waste a lof ot GUI real state: Above the Panel bar (which can be controlled by keyboard shordcuts, on the middle a toolbar which can NOT be unglued or hiden from the GUI, . At least we can hide the lower one (page selection + collaboration tools)
- Aditionally the Viewer features no less than 2 Toolbars which can not be hidden. The day those 2 bars can be hidden, the viewer could be reducer to the minimal expression, when an editor needs to concentrate on timeline work and nothing else.

So, there are a total of 5 toolbars that waste vertical and horizontal real state on single screen displays.

The request should be: "hide the 5 toolbars"

- Resolve Studio 18.6.4 @ macOS 13.6.2
- Mini Panel v2.0
- Speed Editor (gathering dust until killer custom keys arrive)
- Synology DS218

Make sure you have dual monitor.
Menu workspace --> Dual Screen --> off (unthick 'on')
then
Menu workspace --> Video Clean Feed --> Choose your detected secondary monitor
Done.
Begin using Resolve in Mon May 02, 2022.

+1 to being able to hide more toolbars.

Would also be REALLY nice to make the show/hide buttons visually distinct from other controls so users could see at a glance which controls did this. That way, when a new show/hide is implemented, people will just see it and try it.
