"Optimize database" on Project manager.

PostWed Oct 20, 2021 1:47 pm

When beach balls start to appear, the usual course of action is to export and reimport the project, as this optimizes the database.

It would be great a "Optimize database" option while right clicking on a project in the Project Manager to quickly solve beachballs and lags on complex projects.

Resolve already has this feature. Disk databases cannot be optimised.

Exporting a re-importing a disk-database "optimises" the project on a certain way, as all beach balls are gone after completing this operation. This is enough for me, so I will call it "optimization" as solves beach balls.

What i am asking is to automate this process to be run from Project Manager with a right click for disk databases.

I am not using postgreeSQL as I share the disk database with my other computers on a "dropbox-like" shared folder which runs locally on each computer.
