Fusion Keyframes - highlight active Node in Keyframe panel

PostWed Oct 20, 2021 3:09 am

In the diagram below, when several Nodes are selected, I suggest that the active node be highlighted in the Keyframe panel.

In this example, there are 5 nodes selected, and the active node is the DeltaKeyer. But in the Keyframe panel, there is no visual indication which is the active node.

So I'm suggesting that the active node be made Bold-font in the Keyframe panel to help us locate the active Node.

While it's no problem with a handful of nodes, it becomes difficult when there are several dozens of nodes.

I can see, in your screen shot, that the active node is highlighted in the Keyframe Panel -- but how come it is not in the example I gave?

I'm using Studio 17.3.2 latest on M1 Mac.

I don't know. Works fine for me on macOS (Intel).

You've clicked around to select nodes (in the flow) once the Keyframes panel is open? When I first opened the panel it did not show a highlighted node, but then when I selected a node in the flow, it was highlighted in Keyframes.

In your original screenshot it looks like you had many nodes selected? If you have multiple nodes selected, only one (the first one) gets highlighted in Keyframes.

Or maybe there's a setting somewhere that affects this, but if so I'm not sure what it is.

I figured out why. In the Keyframe panel, in the three-dot options, I see that the SHOW ONLY SELECTED TOOLS was selected. I don't recall having clicked that, maybe it was on by default. Hence, in order to show all tools, I had to select everything -- but in that configuration, the above highlighting behavior did not operate.
