Easy Tone media generator

Avid has a great way of creating tone. You click a button, it asks you how many tracks, the db, and length, drive to make it to and pow.

Some version of this in Resolve would be VERY helpful.

The Tone Generator is available for patching to a destination in the Fairlight Patch IO window.

The System Generator may be configured from the Fairlight menu > Test Tone Settings which provides settings for frequency, level, and type.

Refer to:
Resolve 18 Manual | Page 3453 | Chapter 166 | Using the Fairlight Page

Quick method to recall the Tone Generator is via Track Presets available from the Fairlight menu > Presets Library. Save a Track Preset with the appropriate configuration and recall via the Presets Library.

An alternative option is a Configuration Preset which includes a dedicated Tone Track within a Template - ensure the "Use Fairlight Preset" option is checked in the New Timeline window. This is also useful if the LTC Generator is required in the session.
