Extrude option is much needed

It is much needed to have an extrude option not only for 3d text but also for images, videos and especially shapes etc. Its so sad that apart from after effects no other programs provide this option. Sorry if it already an option in fusion.

It isn't built into Fusion, but it is available through an add-on. Check out this video for one solution.

Correct me if wrong, but it cannot go from rasterized/pixel image to extrusion, but must come from SVG or some such to 's' shapes... or did you mean something else?

Yes please. Something I use regularly, and even in 18.6, it is in arcane process to create an extruded 3D shape for a logo.
I know there are several ways to produce the model, I still favour the Duplicate 3D node on Fusion page rather than the sPolygon tool, which seems even more convoluted.

Rather than having to convert to an svg file, a simple bitmap png image, import into Fusion and extrude... is it asking too much.

I used the Krokodov plugin in the past for that, but it stopped working with the past version of Davinci Resolve. I would love to see BMD includes most of the Krokodov tools natively in Resolve.
