Is Photoshop better lut creator than DVR?

PostWed Aug 10, 2022 11:16 am

We mostly work in Luma range shadows/midtones/highlights and color grade. But in PS we can color grade based on the individual color(RGB_CMYK). Because we mostly need Red/Orange/Yellow - warmer but cyan/blue/green towards teal or cooler.
Can we have a feature in resolve to change the HSL of individual colors? Or am I missing something, Pls point in the right direction.
TIA

Have you tried working with the color curves on the Color page, i.e. with hue-versus-hue curves, hue-versus-saturation curves etc. and with the Color Warper?

Yes! not as powerful as PS adjustment layers.

Look into splitter combiner nodes, then change the color space within nodes

Could you show an example?

I can't see any color grading tool in Photoshop that is better or missing in Resolve.

Yep, powerful doesn’t mean much, what exactly is the functionality you want to find and what’s the difference from Resolve curves?
I do stuff.
