Media Management to run in the background

It would be great to have the option to set Media management tool to run in the background, even if it's just for Copy tasks. I cannot express how much time this would save for colour assists working on professional projects with many timelines.

If there are any alternatives that can save time, please give me a shout!

Yes I absolutely agree with this.

One way I work around it is to have a 2nd machine (Mac mini) which connects to the same Postgres database, I duplicate the project in it and then do the media manage on there while still being able to work on the primary system.

A third party app called resolve collect also can do this - although I don't believe it can trim.
