I'm going to add my second +1 to this. I want this feature on both the Edit and Color page.

They do absolutely read these pages. Don't assume just because a fix or a change doesn't happen immediately means they don't care.
How do you know? With the amount of posts being generated, I would be surprised if they read every post. They might read some posts, but many more will just get buried in the ocean of posts, never to be read by anyone from BMD. That is why I suggested the feature to rate bugfixes and feature requests, in order to rank posts according to upvotes. So that there can be a priority list according to user's requests.

i talked many times with BM in the last 15 years and yes they read the posts and discuss the requests being made.
form there, it's a tug of war internally between accommodate new features (first priority), vs fix and improve things.

I see the latest version of Final Cut has this. Cool.
Couple of things I noticed from a youtube video I saw: the timeline motion looks a little jittery. Hard to say how bad it is unless you review in person, but obviously something to be avoided if possible.
Also, clearly there are times when you would want to turn this off (e.g. looping review to refine an effect) so I would hope if BM do this that they allow for a quick (keyboard shortcut!) on/off toggle.

I signed up for this forum specifically to request this... new user coming over from Premiere Pro, but this is nearly a dealbreaker.. super annoying to not have the play head lock feature in Edit mode. If it already exists in the Cut view, it doesn't strike me as that difficult of a feature to add elsewhere.
and btw. that locked playhead should be with intensive timeline update - with ready to scroll track thunbnails and audio waveforms.
