Another important reason for at least the functionality of copy and pasting a compound node is the following:

I have a custom built Halation Node for e.g

I want to ripple it to multiple clips.

(With any other node) I would copy and paste it to the next clip, then use ripple node changes to selected clips to move it to all of my clips (I use a fixed node structure)

I cannot do this and must now manually drag and drop the compound node on a 2000 shot timeline.

If we had copy and paste functionality this would take 5 seconds..

This still needs to be done. I ran this problem yesterday. I should be able to paste clips in to a blank area. I can do this in the Fusion tab, so why not in Color?

Shameless Bump + 1.

I really need to be able to ripple changes to compound nodes.

Would be great to be able to copy any number of selected nodes from the graph and paste to another clip with the copy and paste commands we already use for everything else.

We can do this in Fusion, and we've already figured out where nodes are pasted in the node graph depending on selection and cursor location. Let's just copy that same functionality. It's intuitive, faster, more flexible, consistent across other pages in the app and almost every other software to ever exist.

Has anyone figured out a way to do this? So far, moving a node tree from Timeline to Group Post clip (etc) seems to need to be one node at a time. Everything else I do seems to just copy/paste the nodes back to the original level.

I don't have a control panel, btw :)

Try save a still of the timeline, then in the post group, drag the thumbnail still over the node.

It might work IIRC

This works. What happens is it will create all the nodes in place of the node it was dropped on. It makes it real messy for organization though. What I ended doing is making a compound node with everything in it before making it into a still.

I made a compound node of your node tree setup and then saved it as a still, and it works correctly every time. I am replacing that single node with a single compound node.

Thank you! I wasn't dropping the thumbnail directly onto a specific node, just into the window or onto the clip thumbnail so it was replacing the grade at whatever level the still was saved at.

Version 18.5 is officially released. Not all Feature Requests can be done at once, and this one didn't make the cut.

So here it is for continued voting.
My Biases:

You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
