Edit view snapping back to normal after closing curve editor

PostWed Dec 18, 2019 2:51 pm

When you open the curve editor in Edit and close it, the timeline is in a totally different place and you have to adjust the view manually.

It would be great of you could open and close the curve editor and the keyframe editor and the timeline is in the same place as before.

I'm not seeing this in 16.1.2 for Windows.

Can you expound a bit?

Windows also here.
16.1.2 Studio

When you open the curve editor (I do this with a keyboard shortcut) and close the curve editor again, my tracks are at a different position in the timeline: There is lots of space above the videotrack, which wasn´t there before opening curve editor.
The problem is, that you can´t see all of the audiotracks anymore (if you have many), because there is so much space above the videotrack.

What page are you on?

What Curve Editor are you talking about?

OK.

I'm just not seeing that behavior. Never have in any version of Resolve.

Go to Edit page. Delete videotrack 2 (if you have one), move videotrack 1 to the top of the timeline, so there is no gap to the position marker and videotrack1 is on top of the timeline.

Mark a clip on V1 with an effect applied that has keyframes.
Go to Clip, choose "show curve editor".

Then click on the curve editor symbol of the clip to close curve editor.

Now videotrack1 has a big gap to the top of the timeline.
Videotrack1 is not in the same position as before you opened curve editor.

Ahhh, now I get it. (I never move the tracks up like you do.)

Yes, seeing that here as well.
