Why not start with getting WDM audio interfaces on Windows to work? Right now your choice is consumer grade interfaces or Fairlight. Doesnt seem right.

These threads have been going on for a long time and still no reply from Black Magic. It's troubling. Is there any plan to implement better interrogability and VST3 or is there not?

PLEASE Black Magic can you respond

Adding my voice to the choir. ASIO, pleeeease. I am not going to read through the hundreds of posts regarding the subject, but I would like to know if BM have responded to this request. What is the rationale for not implementing ASIO support?

There's also DeckLink/UltraStudio hardware from BMD with HDMI/SDI that has multichannel audio.

+100 for the ASIO support, although I don't really expect it, for I heard about some ASIO license issues...

Just bought an Audio Interface and monitor speakers to improve my sound editing.

Then after issues come here and find out the 'pro' DR Studio software I bought has a limitation that makes the use of this interface on PC absolutely useless.

What a joke. So short-sighted and obviously just a money grab issue from BMD for their fairlight cards etc.

Do the right thing BY YOUR CUSTOMERS BMD! Fix this will you!

Heck, I presume BMD are just being cheap, so why not just pay the darned licensing fees and then offer it to your customers who NEED it, at an additional fee.

I can also confirm that ASIO is supported now. :D :P
It's not mentioned in the release notes for some reason, while it's a really big deal.

Maybe you're looking in a newer release? It's was in the 17.3 release notes.
DaVinci Resolve v17.3 Release Notes wrote:New audio I/O preference options with support for separate I/O selections.
Support for a wider range of Windows native audio devices.
Support for multichannel I/O on Windows using Steinberg ASIO.
Native Linux audio recording support using ALSA inputs.

A quick shout out and thank you for adding ASIO audio device support to Resolve Studio.

I will be testing this on a Scarlett 18i20 audio device connected via it's USB interface.
