Windows 10 UI Scaling and text contrast

Persona:
50+ years old male with glasses.
One man shop with lot of time in front of PC.
Generalist forced to use a lot of software to create content.

Software: Resolve Studio 16.2

Request UI Scaling:
As a user I like to set the Resolve UI to a scaling factor of my choice so that I can use the software without getting eye strain.

Current behaviour
Resolve does not respect Windows 10 DPI scaling settings correctly. It seems to either use 100% or 200%. Both are more or less unusable for me on a 27'' screen at 2560x1440 pixel. Values of 125%, 150%, 175% are not working.
Actually I have to overwrite the Resolve scaling with a forced Windows scaling. This unfortunately leads to blurry text. Even though this is better than Resolve's scaling it is still bad.

Desired behaviour
Resolve should either respect all Windows 10 scaling values or implement its own UI scaling functionality.

Request increase UI text contrast:
As a user I like to adjust the contrast between UI text and background, so that I can use the software without getting eye strain.

Current behaviour
The contrast between text and UI background is to weak for me.

Desired behaviour
I like to adjust the luminace of the UI text, so I can create more contrast.

I do completely agree: Under Win 10 the bad UI-Text contrast, and the insufficient scaling possibilities are a big disadvantage.

Display Scaling should always be set 1o 100%. If things are too small, you need a larger monitor.

This is a bad take. Not everybody has space for a larger monitor and not everyone can necessarily afford two monitors of the same resolution.

I'am a senior, with glasses and with a 27" and a 28" Monitor in 4K resolution(200%) and have a problem with the Resolve studio UI - readability and contrast.

I fully support this feature request.

Don't listen to Jim Simon - he is frequently not on track.

Why do you bring that up every time someone asks for this feature?
Obviously there are many users in dozens of threads who want this option, and almost every other modern software can do it too.
I would be very happy if Blackmagic could comment on this problem.

I agree, i am 53 and have problems looking at the screen in davinci n read the text.
I use expensive speks too. Outside Davinci Resolve i am ok with windows color n text reading.

I would have no problem with increasing the contrast between text and background.
But...
I'm 67, wear glasses, and have no problem with reading the text on either a 22" or 20" monitor.

There's always one isn't there. :D
