Hi, The new Waveform Zoom function is a very welcome addition. Could we also have a slider in the UI toolbar that controls this function in the same way that we have the track height and timeline zoom sliders? Thanks!

Hi Charles, No it's a new function introduced in 16.2. Vertically zooms the waveform inside of the clip for easier viewing of lower level content. As Will said, doesn't affect volume, only visuals. If you have 16.2 try holding down Alt+Shift and scroll with your mouse wheel.
It's a pretty standard function in DAW's but most of them have it represented by a slider in the UI which is a master zoom for all tracks and gives control over the function without having to go through context menues. (The same as the height and time zoom sliders in the Resolve / Fairlight UI.

Hi I'm new to DR & the forum. Is there any update of this zoom for the edit page request, it doesn't appear to work on DR 17 beta, it works on the fairlight page. It's an invaluable feature when working with 40+ Choir tracks recorded on phones, where the audio can't sync automatically and the master audio has been time corrected & mixed on external DAW. You need to be able to best synchronize the video, and being able to zoom the muted audio tracks is by far the best way I've found with other video S/W.
+1 for exposing the function on the Edit page ... preferably with direct access to the same control or at least by reflecting any such change (per the control adjustment) in the Fairlight page.
I'd add tho that I'd like to also see some visual (UI) representation if/when any given track is displaying waveforms at a non-unity zoom level, I think that's missing at the moment... plus a quick reset function.

Thank you for telling us about this great feature. This is what I have looked for. Does anybody know, if there is a way to see how much zoomed in it is? A slider would be great to see how much zoomed in it is. Besides that, is there a way to reset this zoom?

Still no way yet.

View menu > Track Waveform Zoom > Reset Zoom All Tracks (Mac: Cmd-Opt-R, Win: Ctrl-Alt-R) and Reset Zoom Selected Tracks (Mac: Shift-Opt-R, Win: Shift-Alt-R).
