Could we get the feature to display the film strips of only specific tracks in the timeline?
This would make much better use of screen real estate.
For example, you might not need any audio waveforms.
And you might only want to see the film strips of your main track.
All other superimposed tracks could be fully collapsed to save space.
I really like the "Plain" clips option without thumbnails for its clarity. But I miss the thumbnails from my main story track.
Another optional feature could be to display the thumbnails of a track as soon as you click or select on of the clips on that track? But that's just an idea. Not sure if it's useful or annoying. Probably something you'd just need to try out.
