volume control in media page and preview window in edit

We need a volume control in the media page and the preview window. A lot of the music libraries I have, like Artlist for one, delivers music very hot and it would be nice to be able to preview at a volume I set in the preview window. Also with the edit page i have my volumes set for a decent mix volume, but sometimes I bring in a b-roll shot that while I'm screening it need to pump up the volume to hear audio notes I may have made shooting the b-roll. Clearly to me it seems like a simple request and when I was editing with Premier Pro this was a valuable tool.
