Be useful to not have to manually type in (eg 10121022-10132312) to timeline name

You can use the “Start TC” & “End TC” variables for this.

Unfortunately, these variables dont let you control the delimiters between the numbers, though. But it’s better than nothing.

I posted a feature request for adding more granular timecode options in variables here. Feel free to follow up on that thread if you’d like to see this option as well:

OK %Start and %End refer to source timecode (and clip start and end, rather than the portion in the export for topmost track at the Deliver In point.

Ah I see, I misunderstood your request. I wouldn't use this nearly as much as clip-source timecode, but I can see timeline timecode being useful for many scenarios as well.

I'll add my +1 to this.

Bump - just missing this again. Basically part of the file name that shows where in the timeline that individual clip is.
