UX: Resolve needs better UI Feedback & Error Reporting!

I'm creating this thread to consolidate discussion of the numerous areas where Resolve is currently deficient in providing the user adequate feedback in regards to things that the application really should be informing the user of in a useful or actionable way. improving these deficiencies would go a long way towards a better user experience for both new users and veteran users.

Here's a preliminary list, off the top of my head:
