I think "turn paper effect" would be an amazing feature. It's an important effect for video editors and motion graphic designers. what is your opinion? ;)

Not sure I'd agree on it being important, but if its something you really need then I think spending some time learning how to use Fusion could be a worthwhile investment of your time. It's a powerful compositing and effects tool built right in to the software. You could use it to custom build the page turn effect for yourself ... and if you then save it as a Fusion Transition Macro then you can also access it from the Edit page, whenever you need it in future.

Heres an old post in the Fusion forum that includes some suggestions on building such an effect... there's even some scripts that you can paste into your composition to give you the basic building blocks.

Sure, being handed a niche effect on a plate would be easier in the short term, but 'teach a man to fish' etc

Hope it helps

I used the Page Turn transition frequently in Premiere Pro. I wouldn't object to having that in Resolve.

I agree it's a good idea for a new feature. For now, Page Turn is available in BorisFX as an OFX plug-in:

I really miss this transition as well. A little bit frustrating that this feature is not existing especially because many other "non-pro" tools like PowerDirector or Vegas offer this.

Nevertheless there is a nice tutorial how to solve this in fusion
