Fairlight: Improve track creation and assigning bus & color

PostMon Dec 28, 2020 1:21 pm

With the new Bus system in DR 17 and the ability to have so many tracks und busses I'd like to suggest a few improvements to the process of creating new tracks:

When adding new tracks there is quite some mousing around to have them all assigned to the right place, the right bus and track color. It would be much easier if right click>add tracks... would
- show the track I clicked on in the "below" drop down (not always the first track as it is now)
- let me assign a bus directly in that window
- let me assign a track preset in that window
- let me assign a track color in that window
- have a shortcut.

+1 for this. I think a "sends on fader" type function could also be really handy. If I want to set up an aux send for a single reverb (as is normal practice in audio), there is a lot of "mousing around".
Also, it would be really nice to be able to re-order busses. Most DAWs order their busses with subs before aux before main. I have had a couple projects where I set up four sub busses, an Aux and then my mains, and realized I needed a fifth sub buss, requiring me to re-adjust every track.
