Subtitles are critical for documentary films and it is one of the big features along with PhraseFind that is still keeping me from migrating fully from Avid Media Composer.

Allowing control over the width of the bounding box for subtitles will allow the box to be positioned anywhere in the frame (for instance on the right of the person talking so you don't have to move your eyes up and down all the time). Ability to reduce the width of the subtitles makes the text more readable.

And a BIG +1 on Style Sheets that has been mentioned many times. Avid has a near perfect implementation of subtitles, just duplicate it.

Also, it would be wonderful to get Unicode support for foreign language text like Sanskrit and Hindi.

Thank you for your consideration.

Please urgently implement unicode support for indigenous languages. This is a serious limitation to DaVinci users in Northern Canada, who cannot use the subtitle track for the common fonts Pigiarniq and Euphemia which are Inuktitut language government required fonts, required to be used in all translations in Nunavut.
