Max subtitle width as a timeline (not project) setting

I edit subtitled videos in multiple formats using the same material, eg a square timeline and a widescreen timeline. Would be great to be able to set the linebreak width independently for each of these timelines within the same project.

I would love this feature as well. This is critical for documentary filmmakers.

This makes sense, especially in light of the new Smart Reframe feature.

Yes! And saving Track styles. This is very handy with multiple timelines.

+1 to this. I have to make different social media versions of projects, and my solution thus far is just to do them one at a time. So I'll render a timeline after it's done, then copy it, change the dimensions for a different platform, make my changes, alter the subtitle max line length, reposition and render it. This works ok, but if there's an issue and I need to go back to a previous one, the subtitles are all goobered up.

Yep, this is how I've had to do it as well. I don't know if you have any fusion compositions in your project but those don't seem to like the changing resolutions either.
