Soooooo....
When do we see DaVinci Resolve release for the new M1 powered iPad Pro? WWDC?

It's got to be only a matter of time before we can carry it around with us on the iPad Pro!

The new screen is supposed to be plausable to 1000 nits, you can also have a Thunderbolt to USB and HDMI breakout box now and maybe hook up some color panels and power a reference display.

So when can we see you grading on an iPad Pro setup Walter :P

Probably 1000nits on 2% surface.... I doubt that it will have the power and the battery!

It's 1000nits full-screen with peaks at 1600nits to match true XDR.

What is the upside of using Resolve on an iPad Pro instead of a laptop with the same processor? Both are equally easy to carry around. ;)

XDR marketing is full of unfulfilled promises. The UK Advertising Standards Authority agrees.

Hopefully the increased dimming zones compared to the original Pro Display XDR will prevent issues like this:

Good luck with the dimming then...

Now if Apple would only let me run MacOS on it. Tempted to get one as a second portable display, but it'd be nice to offload some processing to the M1.

Never mind running Resolve on an iPad. I would just like to be able to stream Resolve output to an iPad Pro as an HDR Display.

Any chance of the new remote monitoring app running on an iPad?

would
workstation -> scopes with NDI -> web browser of choice
work?
can an iPad be forced into 2084?
can a iPad read metadata should it be injected before the scopes?

i also would find a use in sending 2084 signal to producer / director / dp iPad
