I have to revert to using Text+ Clips with the text background enabled in the shading elements. But the subtitle function is much more practical and in cases where I need both a version with burnt-in subs and one without but with a separate srt file instead, my Text+ workaround obviously falls short.
Please Blackmagic add a flexible background functionality to the subtitles tab asap
First time working with subtitles in Resolve for my current project, and absolutely surprised that there's no option to have the most typical subtitle setup of background color to change with text size and extents.
I see the boxes, but they are useless, as each box would need to be manually edited for each subtitle.
