Ability to close Marker edit pop-up with the keyboard

Right now, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to close the marker edit dialogue box with the keyboard. I can create a marker and edit it by hitting 'M' 'M', navigate through the dialogue box using tab, but the text box for marker comments grabs focus from the keyboard, and there doesn't seem to be any way of committing the edit and shifting back to the main workspace without using the mouse to click "done".

Expected behaviour is that I could hit Tab; Enter (Tab to shift focus out of the text box onto the "done" button, and then Enter to press the button). Unfortunately, because the marker colour selector is last in the dialogue box, tab cycles back to the top after the "Keyword" box, and it's never possible to press "done" with the keyboard.

I feel like this was one that used to bother me, but that perhaps BMD have quietly fixed? In version 17.2.2, it seems that both the escape key and the return key work to dismiss the dialogue. Tab doesn't shift focus to the "done" button, though.

Enter closes the dialog in 17.2.2. :D

Thanks! I didn't realize there was a new version. I don't see it on the changelog, but I'll give it a try.

Wasn’t enter alway used to close the dialogue? I use shift+enter to make a new line specifically to avoid close the dialogue.

Fixed in 17.2.2 ... but now there's a new bug. The Marker edit window doesn't get keyboard focus when it's opened and I have to click into it to get focus. So I'm still not able to avoid the mouse...

I'll open a new bug.

Seems to be fine on my Mac. Might be Windows only.

I reported in the past few times.

Suit yourself. I hope you don't mind if I link to this post then. I'm just another frustrated user ... I can't do much other than add my voice to the chorus.
