overlays + HDR = ouch

PostSat Jul 24, 2021 3:20 pm

i'm working in HDR with a large and bright screen
when selecting a zone overlay to see what i'm working on, or when keying, selecting highlighs makes for a "reach for the sunglasses" experience....
could we constrian overlays to match GFX levels setting please?

Yes, this drives me crazy as well when qualifying keys and using highlight. I haven't yet done a 4000-nit project, but that will literally be a sunglasses session.

as it has been asked before:

Introduce a slider in the options if the user choose the "use black and white for mask" to allow us to pick a value between 0-1.

asked before, i don't want to dig that thread up...

+1

Also, would be useful to have a "Show Key Highlight only in GUI", in case we wanted to avoid the whole thing in the HDR monitor.
