Request for when a project is in a shared database and collaboration mode is on, you can share the Cache. For instance, editor on Computer A makes a cache, it shows up for the colorist on Computer B once they turn on Render Cache.

It could be that in project settings, whoever created the project can lock the Cache or create a Master Cache, that way it can’t be changed by someone else. Just like how I’m able to lock a Bin.

But yeah, collaboration mode need to have shared cache.

Yes and no, the colorist might work in 4k p3dci with a 4k cache because he had the hero machine and the editorial could be at HD rec709.

Those cache don't mix well.

I agree with you that in a Offline workflow they wouldn't match. In the case I'm referring to (which I didn't mention, apologies) is a finishing editor and colorist working, they would both pretty much require a 4k cache.

Actually no, i specific mention a online editor and a Colorist where we are working with different equipment (the editor winks out a HD monitor and I work on 4K projection)
