From 17.4 on you introduced the export of the YouTube Chapters. That's just : suepr-great and I thank you so much for this.

Current Situation:
What I noticed is that the option is available also on custom presets. Which is fine

Use Case:
When the preset is custom, the Chapter file from markers, should be exported in CSV in the same directory where the video is rendered, with 2 possibilities:
  • Filename = Video-filename.csv (so if I name the video file "test.mp4" a "test.csv" is generated
    or
  • just standard name "chapters.csv"

It will be great in both cases you will chose

In case you're not aware, you can export markers manually from Resolve as EDL or CSV.

To export markers as CSV, go to the Edit Index, click the three dots menu and select Show Markers > All. Now go to the Media Pool and right click the timeline with the markers you want to export. Select Timelines > Export > Edit Index...

It's also possible to create a script in Resolve to get the other functionality you want, but that's of course significantly more work if you're not used to scripting.

yes I'm aware. Indeed I operate on this way even before they introduced the automatic chapter I asked for :-)

I just suggested an improvement of the automatic feature, since it's available the option to export chapters, in the conditions I fully described :-)
