I do plenty of subtitling for a lot of projects (welcome in a country with 3 official languages) and there are some things that would make my life a lot easier and raise Davinci resolve far above any competitor:

Allowing to export/import subtitling styles, or have them set as a master preference.

Enabling the stroke effect behind the text, so I can have nice white text with a decent black border.

When a caption is not using track style, it should take over the track style properties as a starting point.

When a text is center aligned, and the last character of a line is a 'space' that extra trailing space should not be taken into account for the alignment. Same goes for a trailing return or leading spaces.

Some form of access to spelling controle would be awesome, maybe the OS could support this. I dunno.

Let us paste text directly into the timeline subtitle track (now you need to add a subtitle block, select the text field and paste the text in, that's a lot of clicks) it would be a tremendous time saver

I like the option to save in clipboard a text and a timeline clip together

+1 to improving stroke. Right now it's unusable. I'd like something similar to photoshop's implementation and their 'align stroke outside, inside and or on the border' functionality.
