Smart Bins By Empty Fields

I've been using the smart bin features more and more lately, but I keep running into a scenario that doesn't seem to be covered. I'd like to have the option to find clips with fields that are empty (null).

For example I'd like to find clips in the media pool that do not have a particular metadata field populated, say the shot angle in this case. It would be nice while sorting footage if I could have a filter or a smart bin that showed me all the clips with null fields, but as I fill in the metadata they disappear out of the bin so I can see what I have left to assign a shot angle to.

Simply creating smart bins with "is not" or similar logic does not work; it doesn't appear to catch null fields, only ones with data.

Thanks for the reply.

Now as I mentioned in the original post; try this with the Angle property in the Shot & Scene metadata. It doesn't work. The "is not" function works and shows clips that have that property populated, but the "is" does not return clips with null values.
