Firelight Config preset - rename/export/import

PostThu Dec 02, 2021 11:00 pm

Not sure if that was asked before (don’t shoot me if so).

1) I would like to be able to rename the [fairlight configuration presets].
2) i would be able to export a configuration to disk and recall it (import) on another database/timeline/project.

Configuration Presets are stored with the system and are accessible across Databases, Projects, and Timelines.

Configuration Presets may be recalled either in an existing Timeline via the Presets Library or within the "Create New Timeline" window by enabling the "Use Fairlight Preset" option.

It does not seems to be sheareable across databases, but only projects, with no way to export it.

Am I missing something?

macOS Path:
Users/Home/Library/Preferences/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Fairlight/Presets

Not sure of the Linux path but it should be in the Resolve folder.
/opt/resolve/configs/../Fairlight/Presets/

Note:
There are two dedicated folders for the Fairlight Configuration Presets.

The "Console" folder is dedicated to Projects with "Fixed Bus Mapping" enabled
(Project Preferences > Fairlight > Audio Busing Mode).

The "Console_Flexi" folder is dedicated to Flexi Bus Projects which is the default configuration in v17.

All other Preset types in the Presets Library are available between the two Bussing architectures.
