The range of metadata that can be applied to clips make collaboration much clearer but I find myself wanting a star rating system. Unlike colours, a star rating creates no ambiguity around its meaning and is usually more conducive to successfully delivering rushes to someone without needing to brief them on your system.

You can add a string of asterisks as a keyword. You can use the automatic Keywords smart bin to list just the clips with a specific rating, or if you need to be able to view clips with three stars or above you can create a custom smart bin. In Resolve 17 you can create a smart bin that's available in all projects.

Heh, it actually works with the unicode star character too, at least on macOS.
