Droop in a compound mode (color)

If i grab a still in the gallery and drop it in the node tree, it drop the whole node structure, making it a bit of a mess, and i think of a way to streamlining:
1) if you drop a still from gallery to node tree (gray area) it will attach the whole thing attached to whatever node you’re selected
2) if you drop it on top of the node, it will keep the node as is (number and all) but convert the node to a compound node and hide the structure inside…..
Does it make sense?
