It would be great if we could open import window with double click. When we are on edit tab, in media pool, with double click on empty space in selected bin import window will popup and media can be imported much faster than right click->click on "import media"
Don't get me wrong, right click should stay for multiple options, like it is now. I'm asking just to add that one more option for faster media import.

A good practice would be to browse your drives from the "Media Storage Panel", on the Media Page.

You will save popups and right or double clicks.

More advantages:
- you can save your favourite paths
- You can browse the media and set I/O points before importing
- Read metadata

Thank you, but you missed the point. I know the practice you are talking about, but I'm talking about quick import, when you need just one file. I'm not talking about project preparation.
