Retain effects, settings etc when flattening multiclips

PostSun Jan 02, 2022 4:45 pm

Need an option or default behaviour such that if a user has modified a multiclip instance in a timeline eg Transforms, Plugins, Color Corrections etc then if and when 'flattening' the clip, any such modifications are passed to the flattened instance.
Let's have a return to the glory days, when press releases for new versions included text like "...with over 300 new features and improvements that professional editors and colorists have asked for."

Yeah. I wouldn't limit it to Multicam though. Expand the "Flatten/Decompose" feature to be smarter, with a menu that offers the option to transfer any effects from the container to the decomposed/flattened clips.

Actually, I think I already posted something like that.. yeah: Decompose (To Original)/Flatten: option to preserve FX

The one I posted above originally mentioned only Decompose To Original, but that idea could be expanded to include all decompose/flatten operations, not just decompose to original. I've edited it to include that.
