Exportable fusion groups

I've mentioned this before, but it would be very helpful if there were something that would allow you to export nodes in a group that would still allow you to edit it afterwards. I am imagining a node editor that allows you to create inputs on a group node similar to the color tab that would even allow "shared/group nodes" that would allow you to create a group node once and use it many times within fusion in different clips (with edits flowing down to the multiple uses). It seems a little odd that this isn't a workflow that hasn't come down from the color tab at all, and the current Macro/Group convention doesn't seem to allow the flexibility of editing that the color tab does.
