All Caps on Text+ Node

Please add this feature. It's inefficient that I need to get out from Davinci to put a text in ALL CAPS also taking into consideration the special characters.

For what it's worth, that attribute can be controlled using an expression... after typing/pasting your text you can right click in the Text field and choose 'Expression', then, in the expression field that's displayed, you can change where it says Text (outside of the parenthesis) to string.upper.

So, for example, changing the expression from Text("Here is my text") to string.upper("Here is my text") would display the quoted text ("Here is my text") in uppercase ("HERE IS MY TEXT").

Unfortunately that doesn't work for UTF8 characters as the version of LuaJIT in Resolve/Fusion doesn't support UTF8. Can't remember right now if that's only an issue on Windows or if it's Linux and macOS as well.

That means it's a no go for anything but English basically.

I'm confused. If I hit Caps Lock (or just hold down Shift) I get all caps in Text+ nodes and clips.

Sure, but you can't do it automatically with a setting or programmatically through a script.

Yep... imagine someone has passed you a long list of names, Jim, that'll be appearing throughout your programme in various lower thirds. You want to copy and paste the names into the Text+ node but the names are all in Title Case and your lower thirds need to be all UPPERCASE. You can retype them all, of course, but typos are all too common.

Being able to set an expression on a text field, so you can create a template where anything typed or pasted is always translated to the required case, is really handy... but it would be equally handy if text attributes like Font Style & Font Case were directly discoverable and usable in the Text+ Inspector panel, just as they already are in standard Text titles.

FWIW For those people on Mac OSX, the Apple Services menu has menu controls (contextual right-click) to change the case of text.

It would be nice to have the "Small Caps" option that Resolve's basic title has.

There are a few "features" where the developers need to just open up After Effects or Illustrator and look at what the commonly available tools do. Copy those and move on.
