As a Classical music producer I have been using editing software featuring "Four Point" video-like audio editing for decades, starting with SONIC SOLUTION systems in the late 1980s. We have now been producing multi-camera videos of professional symphony orchestras with DV for some time. The more detailed multichannel audio editing, however, is still performed with the help of our MAGIX SEQUOIA workstations which features four-point audio editing. With the prospects in DV17 of now rendering multichannel audio in DOLBY ATMOS format I would love to see advanced audio editing features such as a fully customizable crossfade editor and multichannel three- and four-point audio only editing in Fairlight Audio. It would allow us to envision DaVinci Resolve as the only software needed for sophisticated multi-channel music video releases. Thank you for your consideration!
