Minor Metadata panel change: set new default preset

PostSat Feb 05, 2022 5:57 am

Allow to set new default Metadata panel preferences.

Now, if you have a custom Metadata panel preset it has to be selected every time you open Resolve. A simple "set as default preset" button would be helpful.

Edited to add: resizable comment, keyword, and description windows (and any other similar windows) in the Metadata panel.

Ability to edit metadata panel in Color page as well.

This latter might seem odd, but one thing I love about Resolve is the new ways it lets me work. My current project is more akin to photography than filmmaking and I find myself jumping back and forth between Color and Edit pages to see what can be done with a clip, what one can get out of it etc. So being able to be in Color, make a change and then pop to the metadata window and put something in the comments, or add a keyword while there, would be really nice.

Agreed... this is yet another part of the broader and much lamented application wide issue that Resolve has with remembering settings.
Let's have a return to the glory days, when press releases for new versions included text like "...with over 300 new features and improvements that professional editors and colorists have asked for."
