That way you can scrub through your timeline with pinpoint accuracy by holding down a keyboard button and moving the mouse.

This is such a useful feature that I (and other people) have forced it into being via AutoHotKey. I have this function bound to the D key on my keyboard. Hold D and the mouse basically becomes the playhead. It's extraordinarily fast.

I support this idea, and maybe BlackMagic also will when they are ready to bring Resolve to a professional level. Avid has this. Instead of having to pinpoint in the tiny 20 pixel zone at the top of the timeline every time you want to move, going back and forth with your mouse all of the time.
Hotkey + click anywhere on the timeline has to bring/move the playhead where your mouse is and allow to scrub this way.

By the way, you seem to have found a work around while BlackMagic takes 8 years to not add this, was this "AutoHotKey" fix you speak of, is it complicated to setup (is there any tutorial about it) ? Thx !
