Disable timeline marking 4 copypasting, prioritize playhead

PostWed Nov 30, 2022 3:41 pm

Hi,
SOmething i really find annoying compared to Premiere is that I want to paste something at playhead but for some reason there is a grey selection area in the timeline and it leads where my stuff gets pasted. I didn't ask for this grey area to be there and it hampers my workflow. Can we find a way to disable this?

Paste priority is:

1. In point
2. Playhead

In points are set manually. Someone put it there.

Alt+x will delete it for you.

It somehow happens with hotkeys I don't know of then. But I don't like the function so would like to permanently disable them

That would not be viable. In/Out points are essential to the work.

I never use subclips. But that's a pretty standard feature for an NLE.

I don't believe the ability to disable that feature is a good idea either.

As editors, it's on us to:

1. Understand how our software works
2. Pay attention to what we're doing. ;)
