Delete unused Render in Place from disk

Would be great to have the option to delete any unused render in place files from your disk, could be an option at both timeline and project level.

Once "Remove Unused Clip" is done, do your know witch "Render in place" get in "project archive" ?

There is only one place in resolve where you can delete file from the disk ... it is the MediaStorage
mediaStorage isn't the project

What you ask goes against Resolve philosophy I think.

Would an option in project settings for render in place files to be automatically created within Resolve’s media storage help alleviate that concern?

Imo it would make it more consistent to treat RIP’s in the same way as optimised media and the render cache anyway.

You could then have an RIP tab in the cache manager that could give you options to…

- reveal in media storage/timeline
- reveal in explorer/finder
- remove from project
- delete unused from hard drive
- delete all from hard drive

As with stills in the colour page, you could have the option to keep only the most recent RIP file for a given clip, then when creating a new RIP file you could have a checkbox giving you the option to keep the previous RIP file.

Sorry
But RIP are different from Optimised media / render cache files
Optimised media / render cache files are
- in a dedicated folder declared in Resolve settings
- dvcc image sequence only readable by resolve

That's why Resolve philosophy can't delete RIPs or any regular File

Yes Reveal in Media storage could be an option ;)
Yes RIPS could have a "Version manager" to easily go from one to another
